Dozens of Scottish shellfish lorries park by Downing Street in Brexit protest
Christina Thomson
Yeah, but you lot voted them in!
Paul Taylor
Backed by the Remainers I expect. Short term pain for long term gain.
Carol Mackay
No lobster for their subsidised restaurant!

Hide Ad4.5 years to prepare for Brexit, so what did you do? Like the SNP, it is always Westminster’s fault when teething troubles overlooked turn into problems. Your quotas have been increased over the next 5.5 years, then the UK will have control of our own waters. You have been handed an inexhaustible gold mine if properly managed, so get on with it!
Susan Thomson
Tragic. For all the people who voted for Brexit, look at the mess you have got us into. You were fooled and conned. The Tories promised the Earth and like all their promises, delivered nothing.
Paul Burgess
Didn't the fishing community support Brexit?
Jon Clark
The Westminster Tory government has perpetrated a massive fraud on the people of the entire UK. Brexit allegedly came with “incredible benefits for all”. So far it seems Brexit has brought very few, if any, benefits to most people in the country. The rich will be happy to avoid declaring their offshore assets for taxation. Travel to EU is a nightmare of visas and paperwork, the export / import business is a disaster for all involved, the fishing industry is screwed, touring musicians are screwed....... everywhere you turn there is nothing but chaos and we still have Boris and chums telling us it’s marvellous and wonderful and the best thing that ever happened. We have sovereignty and happy fish........ like any of that matters at all. This government is totally corrupt and we are all victims of their massive Brexit fraud.

My husband is there driving for DR Collin of Eyemouth. So proud of them all.
Paul McCall
Well done, you won't be the only group to do this.

Hide AdI didn't know that driving your lorry into central London and parking it outside Downing Street was classed as an essential journey.

Excellent, wonder how the Brexit mob will spin this?
Mátyás Kandó
You voted for this – no sympathy.

Done up like (U)Kippers…
Quarantine hotels
Scottish Government is planning the introduction of ‘quarantine hotels’ to prevent the spread of coronavirus from overseas
Cindy Sum
That is what it was supposed to do, put the visitors, tourists and home coming residents in a hotel. Charge for the accommodation and food . Another way to control the spread of the virus and also to help the local hotel businesses too. But to make this system work a shuttle bus /transport needs to be provided to take them to the hotels.
Paul Taylor
Sounds a bit like putting them all on a cruise ship for ten days. Some of us can remember how that turned out at the beginning of the pandemic. Now with the new "more infectious" strain it sounds even dangerous for those who don't have it when they're locked up.
Kirsty Rankin
Way too late. People shouldn’t be flying just now anyway.

All this pussy footing about - just shut the borders in the UK.
Peter Nosdlanod
But will they be as good as their word? They said no one would be admitted into a care home until they tested negative, but then said doctors have the final say.
Morna Gray
Great, as long as we’re not paying for it!
Stuart Wilson
Horse & bolted.
Isabella Cameron
About time, not rocket science is it? The empty Travel Lodges etc desperately need the business.
Norma Scott Hoy
Do what they do in Australia and put them into empty hotels for two weeks and isolate them.
Christina Thomson
Whatever it takes.
