How popular is Boris Johnson? - your views online
Willie MacDonald
As I don't live in the constituency he represents then no, I couldn't vote for him. I would certainly never vote for the Tory Work event, sorry I mean party, because I have compassion and a soul.
Alf Bissett
Yes. Policies matter more than personalities. The important issue is protecting the UK from the nut job separatists.

Hide AdFor a start, only people in his constituency can vote for him. If you vote for the party at your constituency because of who the leader is at that time, you are just voting for the party irrespective of direction.
Joe-Isabella McGarry
I would vote on the manifesto they put out that shows the best for the people and country. I must admit I like Boris, but then again I also like Gordon Brown.
Elsa Macmillan
No! For those who say they would vote for a manifesto that suits them and their family I can understand that, but can they honestly believe anything that Boris says? Boris Johnson has not only failed to deliver what he promised, but lied to the British people about Brexit and breaking his manifesto to the people who voted for him. Then again, those who continue to vote for this vile, lying buffon, it actually says more about them - no moral standards or values.
Alan Gardiner
I wouldn't give him the time of day, let alone a vote. Tories in general are too London-orientated.

Robert Bon
Are you serious? I wouldn’t vote Conservative at any election.
Tricia Wootten
Never vote Tory, but even if he was with another party the answer would still be no.
Nan Henery
I wouldn’t want his job between EU and covid and all that goes with it. I know he was totally wrong with his decisions, but who is perfect and my heart really goes out to people who have lost their loved ones.
David Greig
Never in a million years. Never, ever trust a Tory.

Cath Mackay
Doesn't matter who Scotland votes for, makes no difference to the outcome.
Emese Hegedűs
Yes, because there’s no one better.
Kasia Murthy
No, but Scotland has no say anyway. We get what England chooses.
Fiona Shevlin-Cowan
Well, someone did.
Rose Jhoomun
Only if I was invited to one of his garden parties!
Joe Foster
Big time. He's a right good laugh, btw.
Adie Roebuck
I'd sooner vote for the fridge he was hidden in, at least fridges are useful.
Stuart Young
Will there be an after party?

City council chiefs plan to drop the option of building a stand-alone Gaelic secondary school on the former Royal Victoria Hospital site

Gaelic is a dying language, they should at least add it to the school curriculum - after all, it is our original Scottish language before the English took over!
Dougie Kemp
The Welsh kids are taught Welsh as part of their curriculum, how about we do the same? England has tried for years to get rid of Gaelic in Scotland, making it a lost language.

Hide AdWhat a total waste of time and money. It’s bad enough our emergency vehicles have Gaelic on them. Would a couple of night school classes not suffice?
Ray Forsyth
Gaelic was pretty much west coast and north of Scotland, Edinburgh was Anglo-Saxon/Britonnic so we’re already speaking our native tongue here.
Robert Muir
More pressing things to spend money on.
James Crawley
As they would say, ‘respect r kultur’.
Kyle Danko
Before we go building vanity SNP training camps (Ggaelic schools), how about we address the falling standard of English in this country?
