Paramedics called after car crashes and flips onto its side on Edinburgh road

Paramedics and police were called to an Edinburgh road this morning after a car crashed and ended up on its side.

A picture shows the white Hyundai, the only vehicle involved in the collision, on Balgreen Road in the west of the city.

An ambulance was called and paramedics tended to the female driver, but the extent of her injuries is not yet known.

A police spokeswoman said: "Police were called around 11.30am on Monday, 30th March to a report of a one car crash on Balgreen Road, Edinburgh. Officers attended and ambulance were called, however no reports of any serious injuries."

The incident has since been cleared.

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for more details on the woman’s injuries.
