Part of Saughton Road North closed for '˜up to 4 weeks' due to roadworks

A part of Saughton Road North is to be closed for 3-4 weeks as part of works on a new part of the road.

Saughton Road North is closed between Kirk Loan and Sycamore Gardens meaning there is no direct access to Saughton Road North (or roads off it) from either Kirk Loan or Corstorphine High Street.

It is thought that the works will last up to a month and could cause an issue for drivers.

The move comes after the original worksite has moved to the section between Roull Road and Castle Avenue.

Roull Road, Tyler’s Acre Road and Tyler’s Acre Avenue are closed however, single-lane access is still available for those looking to access parking and shops/

Vehicles can access Stenhouse Drive to Broomfield Crescent despite the closures.

Alternative routes for through traffic are via residential streets and close to Carrick Knowe primary school.

Drivers are being urged to follow all diversions and speed limits accordingly.
