Partick boss Alan Archibald brushes off Hearts speculation
Bookmakers’ odds on the Jags boss moving east to Gorgie tumbled yesterday from 25/1 to 5/1, but Archibald insists it’s business as usual at Firhill for him.
“I’ve just been told about being linked with the Hearts job but I know nothing about it,” Archibald said in his pre-match briefing ahead of Partick’s trip to St Johnstone tomorrow.

Hide AdArchibald’s stock is high at present after leading Partick to their first top-six finish in the Premiership last season and a clutch of clubs in England’s League 1 and 2 have eyed him up as their new manager in the past year.
Hearts are still on the hunt for new head coach, two-and-a-half weeks on from sacking Ian Cathro. Dougie Freedman, Steven Pressley and Paul Hartley remain the frontrunners for the job.
