Pension funds pick up award

The pension funds of the council and the publicly owned bus company of the Lothians have scooped a national award.

Lothian Pension Fund and the Lothian Buses Pension Fund won “funds of the year” awards in their respective categories at the Local Government Chronicle Investment Awards.

The awards were set up to recognise best practice and innovation within the local authority pensions and investment sector.

Council leader Jenny Dawe said: “This is an excellent achievement and my congratulations go to all those involved.”
