Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home and the Scottish SPCA currently have several cats and dogs, some of which have had tragic backgrounds. These are all the dogs and cats currently up for adoption.

Camilla is looking for an understanding owner who has had experience with very nervous cats in the past. She will need a quiet home without children or any other pets, somewhere away from the city with outdoor access.
Bruno is a happy dog who loves being made a fuss of. He likes going for walks, but he also enjoys spending time curled up in his comfy bed. Bruno would benefit from being the only dog in the household, with an experienced owner.

Darcy is an energetic and excitable dog who is very playful and will need plenty of exercise to keep her satisfied. She loves people and is very affectionate, but will need to be an only pet with an experienced owner.
Max is a very energetic dog who needs an active owner who knows how much exercise a Husky needs. He is very playful and is always happy. He has the potential to live with another dog, dependent on their meeting.
Comet is a very nervous dog, so he needs a calm and dedicated owner, preferably with experience. He is loving and playful when around people that he knows and would suit being the only pet in an adult only home.
Rascal loves meeting new people and being made a fuss of. He enjoys going for walks and playing with his toys. He will need to be the only dog in his new home but may suit living with high school aged children.
Shadow is a sweet-natured dog who is looking for an owner with experience of the Husky breed. She has lots of energy and loves to run around. She is an affectionate girl who would suit living with a family with older children.
Loki is always happy and although he can be a little shy around new people, he is quick to make friends. He enjoys his own space, but also likes to play. He would be better suited to being an only pet.
Johnboy will let you give him a tickle on the head, but he will need someone with time and patience to build up his trust. He will require access outdoors via a cat flap and a peaceful home without other animals or children.
Romando is a domestic, short haired cat who was found as an injured stray and is now looking for a farm type home, where he won't have to interact with many people.
Boris has a sweet nature and is looking to be the only dog in an adult only home, with an experienced owner and ideally a fully enclosed garden. He is nervous when meeting new people, but will make a loving and trusted companion.
Keira is a shy but sweet dog, who needs a caring, patient and experienced owner who will help her come out of her shell. Keira would be suited to a quiet home without children where she is the only dog in the household.
Sonny loves a cuddle and to be the centre of attention, and is looking for a home where he will be the only pet in the household. Sonny is ideally looking for a home where someone will be around for most of the day.
Sox is a very intelligent dog who will require an outgoing, confident owner to keep up with her active nature and who has experience with nervous dogs. Sox will require an adult-only household with a fully enclosed garden.
Troy has a big heart and although he can be a little nervous when he initially meets someone new, once he knows them he is a gentle giant. Troy loves a fuss and to get patted, but he would prefer to be the only dog in the house.
