Days after she took to Twitter to ask for Edinburgh’s best restaurants, Emily Atack has posted a picture of herself enjoying a meal at The Kitchin on Commercial Quay in Leith.

Among those who offered tips to the Inbetweeners star was local restaurateur Tom Kitchin, who, unsurprisingly, recommended his own award-winning restaurant.

Replying to Emily's post, Tom wrote: “Drop me a line if I can help. Cheers.”

And it seems the popular Edinburgh restaurant ticked all the right boxes with Emily.

Following her visit, she wrote on Twitter: “Dear my fav restaurant EVER @TheKitchin.. thank for you for such a special evening. Really quite wonderful.”
