Amazing footage shows cute otter playing and swimming in Holyrood Park loch

Amazing footage has been shared on social media showing an otter frolicking in one of Holyrood Park's three lochs.

Jim Slaven posted the footage on Thursday morning of the cute creature playing around in the water at Dunsapie Loch, on the east side of the park.

Sharing the video on Twitter, he said: “Great morning run. The Dunsapie Otter was looking at me a bit funny. But I’m used to that.

“He says it’s going to be a great day. And he’s right. Have a good one.”

People have been posting messages of admiration for the footage on social media site Twitter.

Marcuscous wrote: “I didn't know an otter lived in that wee loch! Beautiful.”
