Mr Gardner added: “Membership of the Forum, at just £80 per year, is open to everyone working in these sectors and is sure to bring many business benefits just by working more closely together to attract more people to come to Midlothian and encourage them to stay for longer in our area.”

A subsequent meeting is planned on November 24 at the National Mining Museum Scotland, with the theme of ‘business resilience’.
