An urgent appeal has been launched after Christine Scott, who has dementia, failed to return from walking her dog on Monday morning.

The 76-year-old left her home in Polwarth Gardens around 8.30am on Monday.

She had arranged to meet her daughter back at her house at 9.30am but has not returned.

Christine is described as white, 5ft and 5ins tall with grey hair in a bob style.

She is believed to be wearing a blue fleece style zipper and a grey or blue woolly hat.

Her dog is a white and grey cockapoo with a red lead and a harness.

Inspector Caroline Flynn from Drylaw Police Office said: “Christine has dementia and her family are extremely concerned about her.

“I would urge members of the public to please look out for her in the Edinburgh area and report any sightings to the police.

“Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts can contact Police Scotland through 101, quoting incident number 1056 of Monday 24 August 2020.”
