Staff and residents at the home sent May off in style with Prosecco, tea, coffee, BBQ chicken and rice made by the hospitality team as a farewell treat. And there were plenty of presents to thank her for many years of dedication, whilst maintaining social distancing.

May worked herself up at the home, from staff nurse to deputy to general and then senior general manager.

May give a speech thanking her team at the care home for all their support over the years and she leaves with great expectations of Archview thriving in the future.

Sarah Thomson, general manager at Archview Care Home, said: “Everyone at the home has very fond memories of May and she will be sadly missed by all.

“She always treated us all as family and was sad to say her goodbyes.

“As one doors closes another opens, grandchildren are her number one priority, her own family life and health.

“May has a huge heart and will be sadly missed by all here.

“Her goal never wavered in ensuring she had 100 per cent happy residents and happy staff.

“She was always willing to listen to both and if anything troubled them the office door was always open to listen.”
