Domino’s delivers surprise pizzas to Edinburgh care home staff

A Domino’s pizza delivery driver has given staff at an Edinburgh care home a much needed carb boost.

The 21-strong care team on shift at the Queens Manor care home in Queensferry Road were treated to 10 pizzas from the Corstorphine branch of the fast food chain.

General Manager, Sharon McGowan said: “We feel so proud of all of our residents for the way they are handling the current climate and we feel so privileged to be the ones ensuring they receive that extra bit of TLC that is so needed right now.

“For other key workers in our area to recognise our efforts and support us is really heartwarming and the fact that support is in the form of delicious pizza is even better!

“We are playing our part in the wider care sector and supporting the NHS where possible,” she added.

Queens Manor care home is run by Barchester Healthcare, one of the UK’s largest care providers, and provides residential and dementia care residents from respite care to long term stays.
