After raising over £600 for Movember Taman Khalid from Even Barbers is to continue his mission to raise awareness of men’s health issues including prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention into next year with his next big challange.

In January, Taman will trek the Western Highland Way and wild camp his way from Glasgow to Fort William through the cold and rain in a personal challenge to push boundaries and raise further funds for a wide range of charities supporting men’s issues.

He said: "The generosity of our customers at Veen Barbers has been incredible. Every little helps and this money will go towards the Movember appeal but I don't want to stop there.

"My next challenge is to walk The West Highland Way in under five days - a total of 154km and I'll do this in January - wild camping along the pathway to Fort William.

"It's my next mission and i'm preparing myself at the moment to deal with some of the extreme weather that I might face along the way - but I'm pushing my own personal boundaries and hope this will help raise awareness and more money for men's health charities.”

Throughout November, the team at Veen Barbers donated £1 for every hot shave or beard trim that customers had in store at Veen on Leith Walk and North High Street Musselburgh.
