Edinburgh-based craft business partners with Scottish Beekeeper’s Association charity

An Edinburgh-based craft kit business which is rapidly expanding has announced that it has signed its fourth charity partnership with the Scottish Beekeeper’s association charity.

Paraffle Embroidery creates unique paisley based designs, and sells kits containing all of the materials required to embroider the design.

More than 10 per cent of the company’s profits are donated to various charities with over £7,000 donated since June 2020.

The company will now donate a fixed sum from the sale of every bee kit sold on their website. Donations range from £10 to £14, and kits range from £21.50 to £29.50.

Included in the Bee kits are some gifts from the Scottish Beekeepers' Association charity such as a packet of bee friendly wildflower seeds and a bee charm.

Sammy Bishop, founder of Paraffle said: "This is the fourth charity partnership Paraffle have made, and continues the business's aim of donating more than 10 per cent of profits annually to charity.

“The Scottish Beekeepers' association has supported beekeepers in Scotland for over 100 years, and I'm delighted to be able to support them."

Phil McAnespie, president of the Scottish Beekeepers' association charity added: "The Scottish Beekeepers' Association is delighted to be associated with Paraffle, a Scottish company whose ethos is to encourage and support others to develop their skill level, through their embroidery enterprise and support charities who adopt these core activities. We are most grateful to Paraffle for choosing us as one of their nominated charities."

The other charity partnerships Paraffle have are with Steps to Hope, Link Education Scotland, and Inti Wara Yassi.
