Fore Play Crazy Golf, which is currently based at a temporary location in Picardy Place, had submitted plans to the council for a permanent venue in the city’s Grassmarket.

Posting on their official page, Fore Play Crazy Golf wrote: “It’s no secret that we were unsuccessful in our bid to move to our new permanent home in the Grassmarket, which should have been completed by the end of this year.
“We were deeply disappointed that our proposal and subsequent appeal was rejected, and now unfortunately the time has come where we must leave our current venue.”
Described as ‘a locally-inspired, social experience for grown-ups’ on its website, Fore Play offers “bespoke” crazy golf where players can drink “signature cocktails” while they putt.

Fore Play Crazy will be open at Picardy Place until March – and the owners remain hopeful of finding a suitable new venue, telling their fans to “watch this space”.
