Stocky & Dee’s ‘Pup Cycle’ scheme encourages customers to send back their puppy's collars once they have outgrown them in return for £5 off of their next order.

Stocky & Dee’s team of makers then refurbishes the puppy collars and gifts them to a selection of dog homes across the UK.

The first donations in January this year were given to Edinburgh Dog and Cat Home, which has been severely hit by coronavirus restrictions over the past year.

Mairi Bradford, founder of Stocky & Dee said: "We love creating new accessories but that's not all - we also strive to limit our waste as much as possible and also love to help dogs in need where we can.

“Puppies grow so quickly and we want to do something that not only benefits the hundreds of puppies in dog homes across the country but also cuts down on unnecessary waste; allowing owners to recycle their puppy's collars once they have outgrown them.

“We launched the scheme in January 2021 and we’re about to send out our third batch of collars to a dog home, aiming to gift these monthly.

“We’ve had a lovely response to this initiative from our customers and really want to grow it further in the future.”

Created through Mairi’s own experience of having her puppy Stella, she realised how fast puppies grew and how quickly all the things she bought for her became too small, Stocky & Dee’s Puppy Pack Offer gives the customer the opportunity to purchase a puppy-sized collar at half price when they purchase their pups fully grown collar.

Customers receive two collars, one for the puppy days at half price and one for them to grow into.

The puppy collar can then be sent back as part of the Pup Cycle initiative, refurbished by the Stocky & Dee team and it is then given a new lease of life to a dog in need in a home.
