Edinburgh missing: Missing Granton woman who may have travelled to Blackpool found safe and well

Police officers in Edinburgh looking for a missing woman from Granton have issued an update to say she has been found safe and well.

Emma Shaw, 34, was seen in the Granton area at around 5.30am on Monday, October 7, before making her way to Edinburgh Waverley Station.

Police released an image last night of Emma at the train station. It is believed she may have travelled to Blackpool after she was seen boarding a train leaving Edinburgh at 8.50am and getting off at Preston at around 11.15am, before onward travel to Blackpool, arriving around 11.50 am.

After appealing yesterday, Monday, October 7, for information to trace Emma Shaw, police have now issued an update.

In a statement today, Tuesday, October 8, Police Scotland said: “With regard to our release issued yesterday in relation to Emma Shaw who had been reported missing from the Granton area of Edinburgh, please note that she has been traced safe and well.”
