Two people have been taken to hospital after a crash in Edinburgh.

Emergency services were called to the scene in the Hunters Tryst area of the Capital on Sunday afternoon.

A car had crashed into the Morrisons on New Swanston, and two people were taken to hospital as a result.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed: “Around 3pm on Sunday, 16 October, 2022, police were called to the New Swanston area of Edinburgh, following a report of a car crashing into a building.

“Two people were taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh and the area was reopened after the structure of the building was assessed.”
