Edinburgh power cut: These are all the postcodes currently without electricity

A number of Edinburgh postcodes were without electricity this afternoon as power cuts hit the Leith area.

The power cuts were reported just after 1pm on Friday

Scottish Power has said that they had no advanced warning of the power cuts and have been able to reset the network to fix the problem.

The list of postcodes that were affected are: EH75TH, EH75TN, EH75TX, EH75TY, EH75UD, EH75UE, EH75UG, EH75UH, EH75UJ, EH75UL.

The power cuts were reported just after 1pm on Friday afternoon and are expected to be restored by engineers by 4pm the same day.

A statement from Scottish Power at the time said: "Monitoring systems on our network have alerted us to an unexpected fault affecting a number of customers over a wide area.

"We apologise for the inconvenience caused, our emergency response teams have been notified and we expect your supply to be restored by 16:00.”
