The Capital has been blanketed in layers of fresh snow in recent days, allowing many residents to enjoy sledging on Arthur’s Seat and building snowmen.

In a tongue-in-cheek Twitter post, officers congratulated the owners of the neighbourhood’s newest dwelling, which comes with a stylish open-air front entrance and a stunning view of nearby properties from a single window at the rear.

Finishing the post, one community officer wondered aloud whether they could turn the igloo into a new police station.

“Your community officers are out and about again today,” the Tweet read.

“We stumbled across this igloo earlier in Bruntsfield.

“Hats off to the person who created it.

“Wonder if we can turn it into a temporary police station,” it added.
