Edinburgh's Ocean Terminal HMV store to shut this month as closing down sale announced

The music shop will shut down on January 25th, and a closing down sale has been announced.

It is one of at least eight HMV stores closing across the UK by the end of the month.

The HMV Edinburgh twitter account posted a message on Monday which said: "It’s with a heavy heart we have to announce we will be closing down on 25th January! Pop in & say hello before we go & maybe pick up a wee bargain!"

Store closing signs reading 'everything must go' are also pictured in the post.

Many have been reacting to the news on social media, with some saying the HMV shop was the only reason they go to Ocean Terminal.

One, David Sodergren, said: "Gutted. The only reason I ever visit the Ocean Terminal."
