Engineers restore power after outage in EH3

A blackout in the EH3 postcode left many businesses and homes without power but power has since been restored.

A complete power cut in EH3 athas impacted homes, offices and even stores.

Traffic lights, local stores and parking gates were out of action as a result of the power failure.

It is thought that power went down in the area just before 10am this morning.

Some traffic signals were out of action around Fountainbridge and drivers were urged to proceed with caution.

SP Energy Networks tweeted however that the power had since been restored.
