First look at Bonnie and Wild’s massive food hall inside Edinburgh's new St James Quarter
Bonnie and Wild have revealed what their 16,600 sq ft artisanal food hall inside the new Edinburgh St James Quarter will look like.
Due to open this Easter, it will consist of restaurant operators alongside fresh and packaged food and drink from a variety of artisan butchers, fishmongers, grocers, cheesemongers, chocolatiers and bakeries, and three unique bar concepts.
In a post, Bonnie and Wild wrote: “We've brought together a mouth-watering selection of leading restaurants, bars and food and drink producers to showcase the very best of Scotland’s larder!
“Super excited to be revealing the first glimpse of our Scottish Marketplace!”
Andy Waugh at Bonnie & Wild, said: “Edinburgh St James is the perfect location to launch Bonnie & Wild. We love the fact that it is rooted in its community but has a global outlook.
“Our vision is to bring the best of Scottish produce to the local community as well as visitors from further afield,” he said, “and we are so excited to create a platform for some of Scotland’s most interesting traders.
“We cannot wait to share more details about our plans and the traders we will be working with. And yes, we will be bringing our award-winning Venimoo burgers.”
The opening of the St James Quarter is one of the most highly anticipated events in Edinburgh after the St James Centre closed its doors for redevelopment back in 2016.
The £1 billion St James Quarter will host around 85 shops, 30 restaurants, two hotels and a cinema.
