Glasgow stabbings: Appeal launched to help clothe evacuees from Park Inn hotel

An appeal has been launched to help the residents of the Park Inn in Glasgow, following a knife attack on Friday.
Aamer Anwar, a solicitor from Glasgow has launched an effort to clothe and equip the former residents, who were forced to evacuate the building by authorities without any of their belongings.

Hide Ad“People evacuated from Park Inn following Friday stabbings are in need of men’s & women’s clothes, underwear, jackets, phones & phone chargers,” he told followers on Twitter.
He said donations from the public could be taken to The Unity Centre, at 22 Ibrox Street, in Glasgow between 10am and 4pm tomorrow.
Police were called to the scene on West George Street at around 12:50pm on Saturday, where Constable David Whyte, 42, was one of six people stabbed.
He remains in hospital where his condition has now improved from critical to stable.
