Glass collections were initially suspended in March as the Council sought to ensure staff could observe social distancing guidelines.

Cllr Osler told followers that the situation was changing, and that glass collections were being resumed due to an “increase in fly tipping” across the city.

Full details of how glass collections will restart are thought to be published by Edinburgh City Council on Friday.
