Holly Blake: Tributes pour in for Edinburgh mum of six who passed away after shock cancer diagnosis

Heartfelt tributes have been pouring in for the inspirational Edinburgh mum who passed away surrounded by her family after being diagnosed with cancer in May.

Holly Blake, mum to six children, underwent intensive chemotherapy which tragically was not successful and she was given only a few months to live.

In her remaining time, 35-year-old Holly married her partner Niccolas Scott in a ceremony in Leith in August.

She died on Sunday surrounded by her family.

Hundreds of people have come forward to pay tribute to Holly.

Brenda Barclay said: “Very sad indeed, life can be so cruel thoughts to her family and friends.”

Angie Fair added: “Rest in peace sweetheart.”

Wedding Wish Makers, who had helped Holly with her wedding said: “Sending love to all of the family. Was such an honour to plan Holly and Niccolas’ wedding and we will remember this beautiful lady forever.”

Penella Jane Wilson added: “Just sobbed my heart out. My absolute worst fear. Rest in peace beautiful” and Robert Hildersley concluded: “Had the privilege of meeting her and her mum a very beautiful young lady taken by this horrible disease,sleep well princess.”

Holly is survived by her husband Niccolas, and her six children, Eli, 17, Poppy 14, twins Daisy and Pippa, aged ten, and her youngest twins Edward and Primrose, aged three years old.

A fundraiser had been set up to help support Holly’s family at this time which raised over £22,000 to help with childcare and bills.
