One Princes Street shopper, Leigh McKay said: “I came in quite early today as I was expecting queues. I’m so happy, it’s good to be back in the shops, I’ve really missed it. It’s just an experience to be out again.”
Laura Duff, who was out early for the queues at Zara added: “I came out at 7.30am today and have been surprised how busy it’s been, I thought it was going to be a lot quieter.”
One shopper, named Ange Murray said: “It’s quite nice to be out and have a bit of normality. I’ve been shopping online in lockdown out of sheer boredom, but I like going to see the quality of items and see how they look in person. I’m treating myself today and then I’m going to the gym because I can!”
