Firefighters were forced to evacuate residents from their homes in waist-high water last night.

New photos show the aftermath of severe flooding on a street in Broxburn, West Lothian, after a day of heavy rain on Thursday. Firefighters were forced to deploy a rescue dinghy to evacuate residents left trapped in waist-high floodwater. This morning, the clear up began.
