A spokesperson for ESPC explained: “Positioned close to the vast green spaces of Inverleith Park and the Royal Botanic Garden, Kinnear Road is sought-after street for property due to its location in a highly desirable area of the city.

"There are numerous highly regarded schools nearby and it is well-connected to other parts of the city.

“The street also has a lovely selection of property, with large, spacious houses, but also some flats.”

The most expensive street in Edinburgh is Regent Terrace.

With expansive views of Arthur’s Seat and Edinburgh old town, which are protected by the skyline policy, an address here would set the buyer back on average £1.75 million.
