Bathgate chart sensation Lewis and One Direction star Niall have been teasing the dream pop collaboration for months, and now they are ready to go into the studio together - virtually.

Niall revealed in Instagram post that the two pals have been meeting for a few drinks on Saturday nights via Zoom, and says the pair now plan to write music together this week.

He said: “I didn’t see [Lewis] this weekend.

"We usually have a few drinks on a Saturday night on Zoom, but we didn’t chat this weekend.

“I think I’m writing with him at some point this week. We have a little schedule going.”

Lewis was due to support Niall on his Nice To Meet Ya UK tour, but the shows were cancelled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The dynamic duo penned a track together last year, although it is yet to be released.
