Lewis Capaldi reveals he has written 11 new songs

The West Lothian chart sensation shared the news with fans during a live-streamed acoustic event to celebrate the first anniversary of his debut album on Saturday night.

Hide AdAfter performing breakthrough record Divinely Uninspired to a Hellish Extent live from his family home in Whitburn in support of mental health initiative CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably), the 23-year-old took part in a Q&A session with fans.
Answering one fan's question during the Q&A, Lewis said: “I have 11 songs for the new album now.
"Hopefully it will be out at some point next year.
“Writing a follow-up to this big guy has been equal parts difficult and rewarding.

Hide Ad“Most of the time when I was making the first album I felt like I was making an a**e of it.
“I felt I was doubting myself. You feel terrible and I don’t think people talk about how bad you feel.”
Lewis also revealed that he's been trying to shed a few pounds during lockdown with the help of his new £2,000 exercise bike.

Hide AdThe Someone You Loved hitmaker said: "I've just bought a Peloton, the thing you do spin classes on.
"When I finish my quarantine exercising and we're back into the world, I'm going to walk around with my top off all the time drenched in baby oil. My abs are going to be glistening."
