Long service awards at Lasswade care home

Three staff members at Drummond Grange Care Home in Lasswade have received a prestigious long service award in celebration of working at Barchester Healthcare for a combined 50 years.

Frances Thomas, started at Barchester in November 2000 and has worked with residents and their relatives to ensure that their needs have been met over the years.

Eleanor Wilson, general manager, started in November 2010. Gail Clapperton also started in November 2000 and is unit manager of complex care.

Jane McFarlane, employee services director at Barchester said: “I’m always pleased to hear stories about the long service of Barchester staff and I am delighted Frances, Eleanor and Gail have achieved this milestone.

“It is dedication like this that ensures our residents are provided with a happy place to live.”

Eleanor Wilson, general manager of Drummond Grange Care Home said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 50 years of loyal service with Frances, Gail and myself.

“They have demonstrated their dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year.

Drummond Grange Care Home provides nursing care and dementia care for 114 residents from respite care to long term stays.
