Love Island host Laura Whitmore and Edinburgh stand-up Iain Stirling are engaged
Stirling proposed while the couple were on holiday in South Africa, presenting the Dublin-born TV presenter with a yellow diamond ring he had designed specially.
The pair, currently observing lock down rules in the London home they share visited South Africa in February after filming of this year’s Winter Love Island had come to an end - Stirling narrates the show, which Whitmore presents.

Hide AdThe pair's engagement was revealed when Whitmore was spotted wearing her engagement ring as they took their permitted daily exercise walk at the weekend.
A family friend is reported as saying, "They couldn't be happier. We're thrilled for them. He'd obviously thought about it for a while, as he designed the ring and yellow's her favourite colour."
Stirling, who was educated at Liberton High started his comedy career with appearances at the likes of The Stand, first coming to national attention when he came runner-up in the Chortle Student Comedian Of The Year at the Fringe in 2009.
