Midlothian’s most dangerous roads

A JPI Media investigation has revealed Midlothian most dangerous roads.

The findings show the number of road accidents in the county causing casualties from 2014 - 2018.

The investigation revealed that Midlothian’s most dangerous road during that time period was the A6094, one of the county’s busiest roads, from Leadburn to Musselburgh through Dalkeith and Bonnyrigg, with 80 accidents.

Next on the list was the A702, which includes the notorious Hillend junction, with 61 accidents. Other problem roads were the A701 (55), the A7 (53). A720 (36) and A68 (35). The A6106 and the B6392 each had 25 accidents.
