Mountcastle Drive North: Watch moment car bursts into flames on Edinburgh street

A video shows the shocking moment that a car burst into flames on an Edinburgh street.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that they attended the car fire on Mountcastle Drive North after receiving the call at 4.41pm on Tuesday.

One appliance was sent to deal with the blaze which was successfully extinguished.

Neither the police or ambulance were called to attend.

A passerby commented that it was the exhaust which “blew up”, before the whole car then went up in flames.
