Mystery 'Good Samaritan' praised for leaving 'Take a Smile' notes at Leith bus stop
A Leith resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, said it made her day when her five-year-old son spotted the smiley faces at a bus stop on Leith Walk.
She said: “It was such a beautiful idea, I'd never seen anything like that before, it was really creative.

Having lost her job in retail at the start of the pandemic, this Leith mum is now home-schooling her little boy and understands how challenging these circumstances are for so many people, and how valuable little gestures such as this can be.
She continued: “With the lockdown and the pandemic it can be so hard to get by, so when you’re out and about and you see something like this, just a little touch that shows someone cares, it really can make your day and put a smile on your face.
“I know there were rainbows in the windows for the NHS, but this was a really lovely little idea for the people who are still having to travel.”

"I’d really like to thank the person for taking the time to do it, hopefully the smiley faces will have cheered a lot of people up who might have been feeling a little bit down in the current circumstances.”
