She said: “I have always had body confidence issues and suffered with mental health problems from my teenage years brought on by bullying at high school.

“Winning this competition and being a cover model would be perfect closure on my bullying tormentors, and a wonderful first step on my next adventure.”

Help from family and friends promoting her over various social media platforms has helped Laura massively.

"I couldn’t have done it without them,” said Laura.

"I couldn’t have got to this point in my life without my friends. I went through school and into my 20s without many friends, but the group of friends I have now are amazing and mean so much to me.

"Some of them from college I haven’t even met yet due to Covid, but they have been a great help throughout this contest.”

Laura has made it to this stage of the contest by just using her own selfies, but has professional photoshoots lined up as soon as life returns to a form of normality.

She added: "I have wanted to be a model since I was 13/14 and I still want to do it now.

"I started my Instagram page about a year ago and have 2,500 supporters.

"This contest started about three weeks ago. It’s a public vote and you can buy votes, but I haven’t done that.

"All the group winners come together in the next round. Then it is narrowed down again, before the final which is a photoshoot. I’d love to make it to the final.
