The NRV is a group of local volunteers and organisations that can pick up prescriptions or shopping, or organise food for you if you’ve run out of money.

Talking about the NRV, Newtongrange Community Council chairman Jeremy Adderley said: “Newtongrange is a village with incredible community spirit and the NRV demonstrate that in spades by getting together to ensure that no one gets left behind through Covid-19 isolation. We can all help that process by giving our neighbours a call, text or a shout over the back fence to see if they’re ok and if there’s anything we can do.”
