Emergency services have attended a crash near the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh.

Police confirmed they received a call around 9.20 am from the ambulance team to come and assist at the scene of a crash.

They revealed that the crash involved a motorcycle and a car, though there is no report yet on whether there were serious injuries.

The incident happened at the junction of Old Dalkeith Road and Kingston Avenue.

Traffic is now moving smoothly and the council has been asked to help clear debris.
