Police in Edinburgh trace 16 year-old Jules Appalsawmy 'safe and well' after he went missing in the early hours of this morning

Police have managed to find a 16-year-old boy ‘safe and well’ after he was reported missing in Edinburgh in the early hours of this morning.

Jules Appalsawmy, 16, who was last seen in the Powderhall Rigg area around midnight today, Saturday, March 6 has been traced safe and well.

Police Scotland has thanked the public for their help.

In a statement this afternoon, Police said: “Good news! Jules Appalsawmy (16), who had been missing from Edinburgh since the early hours of this morning has been traced safe and well.

"Thanks for your comments and shares.”

In a previous message, police were appealing to members of the public to trace the teen.

Inspector Gordon Duff from Craigmillar Police Station said: “We’re asking anyone who may have seen Jules or has any information on his whereabouts to please come forward as soon as possible.

“You can contact Police on 101, quoting incident 0926 of 6 March.”
