“We are not disclosing who/what it is quite yet but watch our page for some clues.”

Despite their attempts to conceal the identity of their new tenants, Lauriston Castle couldn't fool sweet-toothed Edinburgh residents, with several locals easily identifying the bakery's hugely-popular cupcakes.

However, Lauriston Castle tried to maintain the mystery, replying to excited Edinburgh residents that “we simply can't confirm that!”.

Mimi's Bakehouse first opened in 2010 and Mimi’s daughter, Gemma, is now a fourth generation baker in the family business.

Earlier this year, the branch at The Shore in Leith played a role in the Vanessa Hudgens film, The Princess Switch 2: Switched Again.
