Princess Switch 3’s Vanessa Hudgens shares clips of Hopetoun House as winter wonderland after snow

As Edinburgh turned into a scene fit for a fairytale after a night of heavy snow, filming locations for The Princess Switch 3 were turned into a winter wonderland overnight and delighted the lead star Vanessa Hudgens as she posted about the cold weather throughout Tuesday.

Hudgens has been in the Capital since mid-December while she films the third installment of The Princess Switch, which is expected to be released towards the end of 2021.

Clips from the former Disney actress’ Instagram stories show her early morning drive to the gates of Hopetoun House where parts of the multi-million pound Netflix romcom are being filmed.

The 32-year-old star overlaid a twinkling filter to make the scene around the snowy grounds glisten, adding on Bing Crosby’s Winter Wonderland playing over the clip as she was driven through the gates towards the house.

Hudgens was clearly prepared for the cold weather when she arrived as she posted a picture of herself donning a thick black jacket, fluffy onesie, and luminous snow boots this morning before she shared a clip of herself playing in the fresh snow to her 40.4 million followers.

Later on in the day after she had had her movie makeup done, she was also seen braced for the cold and huddled up with warm drink as she walked through the snow back to her car wearing a face shield announcing: “It’s snow snow.”

Hudgens’ mother has joined her while she spends time filming in Scotland and looked delighted in two pictures the star posted of her making a snow angel on the Hopetoun House grounds on her front and her back.

Finally, taking a bit of time off from filming the Californian found time to enjoy the winter weather with some snowballs with others working on the set.

The Princess Switch 3 follows on the story of Princess Stacy and Lady Margaret Delacourt of the fictional country of Belgravia as the identical doppelgangers who switch lives.

Other filming locations around the Capital have included Mimi’s Bakehouse, The Dome, the Hub on the Royal Mile and Dalkeith’s Newbattle Abbey College.
