Police are appealing for public assistance in tracing a 73-year-old who was reported missing from Port Seton.

Robert Reid was last seen in the North Seton Park area around 9.45am on Friday, May 7.

He is described as medium build, 6 ft tall and has a grey beard with balding grey hair.

When he was last seen, he was wearing jeans, a red t-shirt, black fleece body warmer and a black coat.

He had black shoes on and was wearing a black fleece hat.

Inspector David Hughes said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Robert's welfare and want to trace him to ensure he is safe and well.

"Anyone who has seen Robert or has any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 4164 of 7 May."

UPDATE: Police Scotland has confirmed Robert Reid has been found safe and well.
