And for all of those unsure about where to place their bets for the next round of fixtures - you are in luck.

Ann who lives in Care UK’s Murrayside home has delighted fellow residents and team members with her psy-kick abilities.

She revealed that she thinks that Wales will beat Italy, France will beat England and Scotland will beat Ireland in the next round of fixtures - she also predicted a win for the plucky Scots against France before the match was postponed.

On her prop-er predictions, Ann said: “I just have a feeling who will win, and so far, that feeling has been mostly right. I also had Scotland down to win against France - so I’m hoping they still do when the match is rescheduled.”

Although born in England, Ann has always been a committed supporter of Scottish rugby, and has encouraged her own family to take an interest in the sport.

She regularly visited Murrayfield Stadium with son, Richard, with her grandson previously playing for Dunfermline Rugby Club.

Since moving into Murrayside, the team have gone above and beyond to support Ann’s love of rugby, decorating the cinema room with flags ahead of each match. Prior to the pandemic, residents also visited the Oriam, at Riccarton, where they met members of the Scottish team including Adam Hastings, Darcy Graham and Zander Fagerson.

Fran Long, Home Manager at Murrayside, said: “Everyone at Murrayside knows how much Ann loves rugby, and our team members love chatting to her about who she thinks will win each match.

“We are always looking for new ways to support residents to lead fulfilling lives, and to support them to continue to enjoy their hobbies and passions. We have a whole host of sport-loving residents at the home, and the Six Nations is always a time of excitement here.”
