Ryanair launch extra Edinburgh-Dublin flights as demand soars for Ireland v Scotland Six Nations 2020 match

Ryanair have launched extra flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Dublin and back, due to huge demand from Six Nations fans.

Rugby supporters are set to travel in huge numbers for the Six Nations match between Scotland and Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin on Saturday 1st February.

And following record demand from customers Ryanair have put on increased flights.

From Scotland, there will be seven extra flights from Edinburgh to Dublin between January 30 and February 2, and six extra flights from Glasgow to Dublin between January 31 and February 3.

Ryanair’s Alejandra Ruiz said: “We’ve had record bookings from Scottish rugby fans, with customers travelling in huge numbers for the Six Nations game in Ireland next year. Due to huge demand, we’ve scheduled extra flights from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Dublin which are on sale now on the Ryanair.com website.”

The match will have extra intensity after Scotland’s defeat to Ireland in the opening game of the World Cup, where Greig Laidlaw’s solitary penalty delivered Scotland’s only points and left them facing an impossible task to make the later stages of the tournament.
