Spectacular jousting returns to Linlithgow Peel

The thunder of hooves and the clash of knights’ lances returned to Linlithgow Peel last weekend as Historic Environment Scotland (HES) hosted its jousting tournament for the first time since the pandemic.

The sold-out crowd enjoyed a colourful spectacle of exhilarating horsemanship and living history.

Part of HES’s Summer events programme, the popular tournament will also take place once again at Caerlaverock Castle in Dumfries at the end of this month.
