Stacie Mackay: Police release new image of woman missing for over a week following CCTV enquiries

A new image of Stacie Mackay has been released by police as CCTV reveals that the woman, who has been missing for over a week, was in Edinburgh city centre on Thursday.

Stacie Mackay / Ferguson was reported missing from Hay Avenue on Sunday, April 4.

It has now been confirmed through CCTV enquiries that she was in the area of Edinburgh city centre on Thursday, April 8.

Inspector Craig Sandbach from Craigmillar Police Station said: “We are hoping that by issuing this new image of Stacie someone may recall seeing her or know her current whereabouts.

“Stacie does use the surname Ferguson on occasion and usually stays in the Niddrie area of the city. We’d ask anyone who can help trace her to get in contact with officers as soon as possible.”

Stacie is described as around 5ft 8in tall and of a slim build with brown hair.

She is known to often wear a pair of orange Adidas trainers, however her current clothing is unknown.

Police officers have conducted a number of enquiries to trace her.

They are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen, or spoken to Stacie in recent days so that they can piece together her last known movements.

Anyone with information regarding Stacie’s whereabouts or any information which could help the police in their search, should report this to Police Scotland on 101 and quote incident number 3335 of 4 April 2021.
