Glaswegian comedian and actress Godley has been keeping up the spirits of the nation since lockdown began in March with her hilarious voiceovers of the First Minister's daily coronavirus briefings.

And on Friday night, the pair teamed up for a one-off comedy sketch during the hour-long STV Children's Appeal broadcast, which was hosted by Lorraine Kelly and also featured a performance from Ayrshire trio Biffy Clyro.

In the sketch, it's Sturgeon herself who delivers Godley's now-familiar "Frank, get the door!" sign off, as she takes part in a mock coronavirus news briefing.

At the end of the skit, Godley shouts back at Sturgeon: "Oi, git yer ain script. That's ma line!

"Why's she giving it ‘Frank get the door’? Frank disnae even know her."

The Glasgow comic published a new collection of her favourite responses to the First Minister’s televised coronavirus briefings.
