Edinburgh singer Nina Nesbitt has expressed her delight after receiving an unexpected gift in the post – from none other than US pop superstar Taylor Swift.

To celebrate the release of her new album, Folklore, Swift gifted a bunch of famous pals a personal cardigan, inspired by the album’s lead single.

Alongside Nina, other lucky recipients included Cara Delevingne, Kesha, Jennifer Hudson and Adam Lambert.

Former Balerno High School pupil Nina Nesbitt proudly poses in her new cardigan, gifted to her by pop pal Taylor Swift.

Revealing that Swift inspired her to get into music, Nina wrote on Instagram: “Thank you @taylorswift for this cozy gift and for being such a support on my last album.”

Nina continued: “I will forever be inspired by you! folklore is my favourite one yet.... the lyrics are so beautiful and I love the new sound. ps when I die please bury me in this cardigan lol.”
